The journey to another campsite where you can rest and get fresh would normally take 3 hours by a camel, but you can also go there on a jeep and reduce your travel time. After a midway stop at the Bedouin campsite, you would be taken straight to the Valley of Moon.
One thing you need to know about traveling to Wadi Rum is that it would be impossible to go there without a guide. If you are traveling through the desert for the first time the chances are very high that you would lose your way and it could be quite dangerous.
The Valley of Moon itself is quite a sight. Not only is it popular among nature lovers, but the valley provides several opportunities for adventurous people as well. You can take part in hiking, rock climbing and trekking. Wadi Rum has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
There is another Bedouin camp near the valley which provides refreshments for the tourists. You can even spend the night there and watch the starry sky and enjoy the cool desert nights. Wadi Rum is a great destination for a vacation and you should consider it for your next vacation.
