Tiananmen is one of China historical symbol that attract many tourists from all around the world. It is situated in the city center heart of Beijing. It is the largest square in the world. It’s width is about 500 meters and the length is 880 meters. The ground of Tiananmen Square is sprinkled by granite stones. 
Tiananmen Square is surrounded by iron wire for safety reason. The wired is place for all 4 main gates on the west, east, south, and north. The place opens for public till midnight. The visitors are allowed to visit the area after going through security checkpoints.
Tiananmen Square consists of monument of the people Hero and Mao Zedong’s Tomb that situated in the middle of the Tiananmen Square.
Besides, Tiananmen Square is flanked by National Museum in east area, the Great Hall of the People located in the west area and Qianmen in south.
The Monument of the People Hero and Mao Zedong’s Tomb
The monument has a great decoration that adopted from Professor Liang Sicheng. The monument consists of 413 granite and sprinkled by 17,000 granite’s on the base as well as white marbles and eight statues that made from white marble.
The Mao Zedong’s Tomb was built on November 1976 and finished a year after. The area is about 2,000 square meters. It also has a memorial room that displays the revolution tributes for Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi and Zhu De.

Tiananmen
It is a gate to “Forbidden City” that located on the north side of Tiananmen Square. The name was Chentianmen, and changed into Tian An Men. Tiananmen has a 33.7 meters tribune as the main city gate and has double roof on it.
National Museum
China National Museum is located on the east area of Tiananmen Square. At the museum, visitors can read the history of China that has been collected by the government.
The Great Hall of People
It is the place where China National Congress usually held. The building has a big and complicated design. It consist of central hall or main hall, big hall, and banquet hall on an area of 7,000 square meters, offices for congress committee and halls that has each names of all provinces in China. The total area is 172,000 square meters.
