Iguazu Falls are known as the largest set of waterfalls in the world, and this naturally-occurring miracle was first reported to be discovered in 1541. It is located on the border of the Argentine province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Parana.

Transportation to Iguazu Falls

There are two airports within five miles of Iguazu Falls. From Argentina you’ll connect in Buenos Aires before flying to Puerto Iguazu. If you’re coming from Brazil then you’ll fly from Sao Paulo to Foz do Iguassu. Either way, you’ll need to take a taxi or bus to your hotel or other pre-arranged lodging.

Iguazu boatsYou don’t “have” to fly to get to Iguazu Falls. You can take a bus from Argentina or Brazil, but expect a long and sometimes perilous trip that lasts about 20 hours.

If you’re looking for something more indigenous, however, you have nothing to worry about.
